Usenet - recommended newsreader

As a total noob in this area and wondering what all the fuss is about can anyone recommend a simple easy to use and free newsreader to start off with on the PlusNet usenet

There's a really useful guide to this sort of thing here:

Probably the most used program for usenet is http://www.forteinc.com/main/homepage.php

But you could just use Microsoft Outlook.

Tony

If you want to download binaries then you'll need to switch providers and Newsgroup servers. I'm on Eclipse Internet which allows me between 200-235k at PEAK times. Also using Easynews.

I can't get this to open. Tried Internet Explorer and Firefox but it doesn't bring up the java symbol in the taskbar. Any way past the front page please.

We are working to improve the performance of binary usenet for people using our servers, this work should be completed in the near future.

Also this forum is not an appropriate place to discuss the services of other providers, this is better discussed in independant forums such as ADSLGuide.
