Plusnet are doing a dial test on my connection tomorrow at 9am.

"The next action on your Contact Us Ticket is due on Friday 13th January at 9:00am. This ticket will remain open with the CSC - Dial Testing until this time.Additional information is provided below:"

Should I leave my PC and Router switched on or off or should one be on and the other offHuh

I think I am right in thinking that you ought to disconnect from the net completely for these tests to happen.

That is correct. The dial test involved PN connecting using your account details and only one user must be using the account at any one time or routing problems occur and the PN tests may not perform correctly.

So physically disconnect any router / modem before the time specified.

You should not try a modem dialup either as that uses the same login info as your broadband connection and will cause similar conflicts.

Hi,

In order to the run the test the support team will need you to be disconnected from the Internet, you can still use your PC, just leave the router off or disconnected.
