To Plusnet : Real Time Inbound Stats

According to the web site there were only 2 calls waiting at 17:51 on 3rd Sept and at 18:04 there was just 1 call waiting.

How come the tech support message says that you are currently receiving lots of tech enquiries and that the expected wait is ~ 20 minutes?

There seems no point in using the stats to judge when is the best time to ring you if the data is not correct.

The amount of calls we take can fluctuate wildly in a very short space of time, and the time is based on the waiting time recorded on our call monitoring system.

We do make every effort to keep this as upto date as possible but as the system is updated manually, there may be rare occasions when the time recorded does not reflect the waiting time 100 percent accurately at that precise moment. I can assure you however, that this is never out of sync for long periods.
