Time Server?

I assume that ntp.plus.net is the time server we can use on the network, but for some reason I can't get my machine to synchronise with it.

I'm using ntpd under Redhat 7.3. I can use ntpdate to manually synchronise, but the ntp deamon doesn't seem to want to. When I list "peers" in ntpq, I just get the following:

remote refid st t when poll reach delay offset jitter
==============================================================================
*LOCAL(0) LOCAL(0) 10 l - 64 377 0.000 0.000 0.015
192.168.20.255 0.0.0.0 16 - - 64 0 0.000 0.000 4000.00
purple.force9.n 0.0.0.0 16 u - 1024 0 0.000 0.000 4000.00

Any ideas?

Hi Jonathan,

We do not have an NTP server for customers to use right now. However, we are always upgrading our network with new features and I will pass your request / idea on to our Network Operations Centre for you. If accepted, a NTP server will be added to the network for your use.

Regards,

Dave
