Time Outs?

How do the time outs work? Are they the reason my router falls over every now and again and i have to reboot it to get it to respond again?

Any help or advice much appreciated.

Time Outs?

As far as I am aware the timeouts sre not in use yet - it would seem your router is falling over either due to a falt at your end or a flaky connection.

Crappy D-link then Smiley I'll upgrade the firmware.. thanks very much!

Any idea how it will affect my router when it does come into play?

Time Outs?

It is not necissarily your router - try the cables, other connections and even the power supply.

If your router is set to "dial on demand" it should not affect you too much. If you connect to your router remoteley while away from home than it could pose a problem.

However loking back you didn't say what account type you were on, it may be that these timeouts will not even come into play on your account. Premier for example isn't going to be subject to the timeouts.
