I thought I had got to the point where my own posts on this forum about my PN connection would cease and I would be able to help others.

Unfortunately my stable line lasted about 3 days. My latest reply to my "question/ticket" - 20392514 is -

Latest progress - or not, as is the case. NB: This is my second time of trying to type this - the first time I tried your system logged me out, which was annoying considering I was just about to send it.

These are my stats -

My router was synching at 5800 this morning when I logged off, when I turned on my PC 1 hour ago it was synching @ 1600, after a reboot it is now showing -

Port Status TxPkts RxPkts Collisions Tx B/s Rx B/s Up Time
WAN PPPoA 8131 9500 0 1084 6460 00:27:36
LAN 10M/100M 10442 9035 0 6702 1248 00:27:54

ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 3872 kbps 448 kbps
Line Attenuation 44 db 13 db
Noise Margin 9 db 26 db

My stable rate started the day @ 4000 it is now 3000, and no doubt will go down to again.

Please see my previous tickets.

My equipment, filters etc are fine, I have not used the DECT phone at all today - so this cannot be blamed.

My router is showing no loss of sync at all today and yet my sync and bRAS has gone down.

There is obviously something wrong somewhere and it does not appear to be at my end.

Please either ask BTw to look at it, give me back my 2MB rock solid line (IPStream?) or give me a MAC code. If you need more speed test I will not be happy, you may as well just give me a MAC code or revert me back to my 2MB line.

I am sorry if I sound a little bit terse, it is because I am fed up with this ongoing problem which nobody seems to be able to permanently resolve.

I have had ongoing problems since May this year when I was MAX'd.

Please advise which option your are going to take. Please do not reply with the usual automated copy and paste replies.

As you can see I am not very happy.

1) Please can somebody at PN take up my case - I can honestly say that I am now on the verge of asking for my MAC

2) Therefore moving to another ISP - anyone have any suggestion?

I have put this off hoping that my PN connection would be sorted, however 5 months down the line it has not.

I've put a regrade back to 2Mbps in for you and replied to the ticket, something's causing the sync rate to drop, and if the router isn't reporting a loss of sync then unless it's the router at fault it's going to be a very difficult job to find the cause

Thanks Dave.

Am now back to my nice 2MB previously rock solid connection.

Bye Bye MAX - I might let you come back when you are working properly!!!!!!

Max from the Tweenies was quicker than my MAX connection at times!!!!!

Hopefully 5 months of grief is over - time will tell. But I am currently a happy PN customer.

I thought now I was back on IPstream (so no longer Max'd)I should have a consistant speed, it has been around 1900ish since I was regraded back.

However today my speed is 920ish and I notice that the bRAS (which I thought should not effect my line) is showing 1000.

Can anyone let me know if I am right in thinking this?

My router has been synching at the same rate since the regrade with no loss of sync and nothing on the logs untoward.

Have raised a ticket anyway.

Dave if you are reading this can you advise?

But as per the last part of the above post things have once again taken a backward step.

I have raised a ticket, which has had the usual "we can find no fault with your connection" reply.

Please can somebody at comms look at this - hopefully Dave Tomlinson, who helped before.
