The email problem - don'r think it's XP's fault

Hi

I keep getting "authorization failed" when I try to receive mail from mail.plus.net.

I have indeed run "ipconfig /flushdns" as adviced but I seriously don't think this is a dns issue with windows XP since mail.plus.net resolves to 212.159.10.1 without problems.

I also have no problem telnet:ing to mail.plus.net on port 110. (I get the "OK" response immediately)

Also according to outlook it receives: "??RR authorization failed" from the pop3 server.

Sending emails seems to work fine though.

Hi there,
That error would suggest some corruption in communications from your email client to the server, I get around 1000 emails a day and when I collect them from home Outlook generally chokes and gives me errors like that!
If you're still getting the error, please raise a ticket with any logs you may have, this will be investigated this end.
Regards,
Mike
