Store All Send Items By Using SMTP Authentication

Would it be possible to get your email server to put all sent emails (via relay.plus.net) into the sent Items folder, or into a special acount to hold sent items. If users were to authenticate themselves via SMTP authentication this would be feasible.

We have several users on out network, and we wish to keep a track of emails sent offsite.

If you are wishing to archive e-mails sent offsite, I would advise the following.

1: You need to clearly define a IT use policy.

2: You would be better of with a local mail server.

You may also find that you need to deny all external access to SMTP servers, with the exception of the mail server.

This will provide you with archiving features and more, and can be as advanced or as simple as you please.

Store All Send Items By Using SMTP Authentication

Hi,

This isn't possible to do on our platform. The SMTP servers have no way of storing the mail anywhere sensible and there is simply too much for us to handle anyway! Once we get webmail nicely sorted, this will store all sent mail in a separate IMAP folder.

Regards,

Ian
