Started dropping out again

Got a netgear router on 2mb connection for 21.99.. only drops out on weekdays..

cant check snr with netgear does that crappy modem supplied by plusnet give them details??

also im not fillin a ticket till im 100% sure its not my equipement.. as i pay 21.99 and i expect 2mb for that price so..

ports on my exchange are amber will this cause the problem?? shudnt do.. but could it?Huh

hi, thanks for your reply.. lookin at that there is a section there about connection dropping when idle.. yes my connection drops when idle.. i have looked in my router and 0 is selected.. so that shudnt disconect??

Not sure, but in my router I have option to tick a box "Allways on" next to "idle timeout" When this is ticked the default number of 300 for "idle timeout" changes to "-1" So perhaps you could try setting yours to "-1"! Wink
