Stable rate checker - where is it?

Quick question, where in the menu is the stable rate checker? I can only find a link to it in the DSLMax Q&A.

I've not seen a link in the menu for it either, http://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=stable_rate is the only one i know of.

From the member centre home page ( http://portal.plus.net/index_portal.html )

The indicated link gives you this.

Sixth paragraph:

See what speed is being reported for your line using our High-speed broadband tool

I'd like someone from Plusnet to say why there isn't an icon in our connection details page.

Stable rate checker - where is it?

This is currently saying 8000 for me. However, I'm not aware that I've been upgraded, the Binatone status page from my modem still says 2272kbps, there is no indication of an upgrade in progress at http://www.dslzoneuk.net/checker.php (this also suggests my top speed will be about 5.5Mb), and the "priority upgrade" ticket I submitted was "automatically closed" on 3 May.

Today is also the first day of my month - am I likely to see an upgrade soon? (I'm on PAYG - 10GB special offer.)

And if I'm not already on 8000 kbps, why does the "high-speed broadband tool" tell me I am?!

Because you are on an account that for the last year has been "up to 8M" - so that is it's default value.

Hmmm, I don't have that option!
Perhaps its because my home account (which I am posting with) hasn't been upgraded yet.

The option only appeared for me after the upgrade to MaxDSL had been active for a few days.

I don't see the High-Speed Broadband option so must only be available on some accounts.

Seems to be invisible!

There also seems to be a problem in that the items in the menu on the right don't match the icons in the panel. The menu is missing Static IP and has an extra My CLI Number - what relevance is that to ADSL?
