Speed 135Kbs !!!!!

Anyone know why my speed has suddenly dropped. BT speed test result ie. IP profile for your line is - 135

kbps
DSL connection rate: 448 kbps(UP-STREAM) 192 kbps(DOWN-STREAM)
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 109 kbps.

My BT d/l speed was 1500MB with a throughput line speed of around 1450Kbps.

Speed 135Kbs !!!!!

Hi there,

Looks like back on the 26th June your line synced at 160k, which in turn means BT lower the profile speed to 135.
I've just done a quick line test now and it appears that you are only syncing at 192 at the moment, unless this improves and stays higher then the profile is not going to lift.

Did you make any changes to your wiring around the 26th? If you haven't raised a speed fault yet then I suggest getting one started.

Speed 135Kbs !!!!!

Hi Chris, just got back from the weekly shop,no,absolutely nothing changed at this end, however I have just re-booted my router and my sinc speed has now increased to 1952K, so i guess i have to wait for MAXDSL to kick in.
Have no idea why it dropped so low on 26th,unless it can be due to the floods in our vicinity.
Do you think I still need to raise a speed fault.

Cheers Dennis

Speed 135Kbs !!!!!

If the speed decides to stay stable now then it probably isn't worth raising a speed fault as it will probably be fixed by the time BT respond!

It could very likely be due to flooding if parts of your local area have been affected. Obviously if the speed doesn't increase in 3-5 days then I would go down the fault route again.

Speed 135Kbs !!!!!

Hello there, I too currently have speed problems.

I have been on BBYW 3 for a month now and have been getting speeds between 156kpbs to 500kpbs for the past week and a half, prior to this I was averaging around the 1900kpbs mark.

I checked and changed everything on my side to ensure that nothing I did was causing the problem, and did everything PN asked.

I was getting better speeds on my previous BB+ account. Having just completed the plusnet BB fault checker, PN have said that their is no fault with my connection and that my current speed is good and acceptable according to BT. How can 500kpbs be acceptable on a 2MB connection on BBYW 3, when prior to this I was consistently getting around the 1900/2000 kpbs??.

I cant even stream decent quality video on 500kpbs!,

Speed 135Kbs !!!!!

Hi kratos,

Looking at your account there has only been an automated reply so far, the ticket is currently waiting for BT Speedtests to be added and sent back to us. We can then investigate this further.

Hi there,

Looks like your IP profile dropped to 135k on the evening of July 1st. Has your sync speed increased again? What does the BT Speedtester give you?
