Should I be getting higher throughput

Hi folks,

Was wondering why I never get higher throughput than 2Mbps
I am using a BT voyager 2100 router. Here's some stats, I'd like some thoughts and or suggestion.

Line Stats Downstream Upstream
Line Rate 4608 448
Noise Margin 14.9 dB 19.0 dB
Line Attenuation 29.0 dB 19.5 dB
Output Power 12.3 dBm 19.5 dBm

BT Best Effort Test:
IP profile for your line is - 4000 kbps
DSL connection rate:
448 kbps(UP-STREAM)
4608 kbps(DOWN-STREAM)
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 1927 kbps

Should I be acheiving a higher speed than 1927kbps or thereabouts?

Let me go check everything from here is set correctly for you.

*Edit...

I've made a couple of changes to your account, please try rebooting your modem/router and you should see better speeds coming through.

The speed profile shows correct on our side and also on BT's side. Can you run the BT Speedtest please and post back what you get there?

Apart from giving busy messages the BT speedtest is pretty reliable, plus it gives you a result (the IP profile) that can only be seen from running it. I'd suggest trying it in a morning or afternoon when it should work.

Should I be getting higher throughput

Dave Got on bt speed test At 11.15 am
Results
Test 1 comprises of Best Effort Test: -provides background information.
IP profile for your line is - 6500 kbps
DSL connection rate: 448 kbps(UP-STREAM) 7616 kbps(DOWN-STREAM)
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 4307 kbps

Im not grumbling about me speed,Im curious as to why I used to get 6000kbps most of the time, now Im down to 2000 to 3000.
Would like to get back up 6000 if possible.
Many Thanks

Didnt think anyone could take such offence at joining a thread in having the same problems as yourself .

Last time I put a Question about a speed Issue ,I was told there is all ready a thread on that subject.

But I Suppose some folk dont like to share, they like everything to themselves
