Service Status

All service status statements used to be copied to usenet group force9.service.status.
This doesn't seem to happen any more. Is this new policy or just an oversight?

Oh, I don't know. Nothing better I'd say than a job where anything you do will be an improvement. Guaranteed success of a kind.

Hmm, I've just checked the group, and Dave's post from 10pm last night about the email situation is in there.

Could I ask which server address it is that your using? As whilst there shouldn't be any difference it's worth ruling out as many things as possible.

I'd also suggest resetting the group, so that it downloads everything again.

On the 9th there were 7 service status messages posted, but only 4 made it to my news server.
They were:
Date: 09 Jul 2006 08:29:55 GMT Email Issues- Mail Not Displayed (33566)- New
Date: 09 Jul 2006 11:01:32 GMT Service Status: Email Issues- Update
Date: 09 Jul 2006 13:27:16 GMT Service Status: Email Issues- Update
Date: 09 Jul 2006 18:23:44 GMT Service Status: Email Issues - Update

There were also 4 missing from the 10th.

News server is usenet.f9.net.uk.
I just unsubscribed and resubscribed, is that what you mean by resetting?

Postings are the same. I don't have any kill file for that group.

Yeah, that should have reset the group, though depending on your client there might be a way to do it without unsubscribing fully.

I'll take a closer look at what's going on, as it might be a case of raising it through internally as a problem.
