Service Status posting today: Customer Support Centre

If there are still very high levels of tickets following the problems of last week, it is probable that there are many open tickets which relate to those problems and the users are no longer experiencing any problems.

Would it not be appropriate to include a request in postings such as todays for anyone who has an open ticket relating to problems which have been resolved to close the ticket themselves?
