Secure FTP?

It seems silly that if I login to the plus.net page, I do so over an encrypted connection. My router connects using CHAP encryption. Then I go to upload files to my FTP space, sending my username and password in... clear text?

WTF?

Are there any plans to move to something which doesn't render all the other encryption pointless?

Secure FTP?

You can do secure file transfers to your ccgi webspace using ssh based file transfer programs - you can also use ssh instead of telnet to the cshell. One such command line program is psftp which is part of the putty application suite.

As there is no shell access to www webspace there is no alternative to FTP for that system.
