SAR110 + external access

Hi.

Has anyone been able to configure their SAR110 router for external access with SSH? (V1.37 - tried V1.38 but went back very quickly!)

I have an internal SSH server and thought all that I would need to do was create an RDR rule to redirect from PP0 to the Private IP address along with a filter rule as well?

I have tried different variations but without success.

If anyone can help with some simple instructions, I'd be most greatful.

Regards.

RE: SAR110 + external access

Hi,

I've just done exactly that, although I didn't create the filter. Just the RDR rule, this is what I have set..

Rule ID : 2
Rule Flavor : RDR
IF Name: ppp-0
Protocol: TCP
Local Address From : 172.31.1.10
Local Address To : 172.31.1.10
Global Address From : 0.0.0.0
Global Address To : 0.0.0.0
Destination Port From : 22
Destination Port To : 22
Local Port : 22

Didn't have to do anything else, just that, works a treat for me.

Hope this helps

Regards
Chris

Actually, forgot one thing, I am running 1.38 and not 1.37

RE: SAR110 + external access

Thanks for your feedback Chris, just out of interest, how have you set the default actions for the interfaces?

I currently have low security level, private is accept, DMZ and Public are deny...
