Routing problem to some US sites?

Hi.

I've got a group of sites on a US server. The server's still working, some people can see the sites but I can't view them or FTP/SSH. Pinging the server times out, tracert does this:

C:\Documents and Settings\James>tracert balaorphanage.org

This is quite irritating as I was doing some maintenance last night and suddenly SSH froze up and FTP timed out in the middle of a transfer so anyone who can see the site will probably see them borked Sad. It stopped working sometime around 8-9pm last night (Saturday 4th Feb).

Any suggestions?

Cheers,

James

Routing problem to some US sites?

Seems to be working, both in a browser and via telnet on ports 21 and 22.

I'd not be too worried about the tracert timing out like that at the end, as it is most likley down to the server being set not to respond to ping requests.

Must be just me then. :?

The tracert usually gets to the destination but it's just not happening at the moment - no ping, no browser, no telnet/SSH, no FTP. It's the same with all of the machines in my house so I guess it's a problem with my router (Netgear DG834Gv2) then?

Try rebooting it.

Site is working fine here.

Also try flushing your dns cache.

Just tried rebooting it and it's made no difference.

How would I go about flushing the DNS cache? I'd like to do that before returning the router to factory settings.

[EDIT]
Well, I just did both - flushed the DNS cache and restored the router to its factory settings and no joy.

It's everything on that server, wildcat.xssl.net, that's unavailable to me for some reason.
