Recent LLU notifications?

Could someone post copies of the two emails notifications that PN assure us are now happening.

I mean the two:-

One when the customers exchange is due to be enabled for LLU which also informes them of the implications and the ability to opt out.

The second which arrives a number of days before the actual upgrade which gives notice in time to opt out.

Recent LLU notifications?

First email:

Dear **,

As you may know, we’ve been working with a number of broadband network partners to ensure we can continue to provide the best value broadband service available. This email is to let you know that in the future your local telephone exchange could be upgraded to allow us to provide broadband to you through one of these alternative providers.

We expect this to have only a minor impact on your Internet connection, but have provided more details below for your information.

What differences will I notice?
--------------------------------

Our suppliers’ networks are provided through a technology known as Local Loop Unbundling or LLU, which means other companies can replace the part that BT Wholesale currently play in connecting your Broadband connection to our network.

Because the suppliers’ networks are newer and have more capacity, in most cases this will mean customers receive higher peak-time speeds and an improved level of service. New benefits such as up to 800k upload speeds (BT provide up to 448k) and either up to 8Mb or up to 24Mb* download speeds are provided as standard on these LLU networks.

A number of our customers have raised concerns over these new developments. To answer these, we have provided a detailed FAQ which we hope will address any additional queries that you may have - http://www.plus.net/support/broadband/products/network_suppliers.shtml

Thank you for your continued custom.

Kind regards,

PlusNet Customer Support

Dear *,

This is an email from PlusNet to let you know about some changes to your broadband service.

As you may know, we have recently been working with a range of broadband network partners so that we can offer all of our customers the best value broadband service in the UK, as well as access to faster broadband speeds where available. As a result of this, we will be updating your broadband connection to use a new part of our broadband network on 31-07-2006.

What do you need to do?
-----------------------
You don't need to do anything, we'll do all the work. While we carry out the work, your broadband and phone line will be offline for approximately 5 minutes (although in very rare occasions this could be a maximum of 2 hours). You will then be able to re-connect, using the same settings and hardware as normal.

Please note: a small number of customers have trouble re-connecting because they have the wrong connection settings for their modem/router. Please check your settings to prevent any problems:

- VPI = 0, VCI = 38
- ADSL Modulation: Auto or G.DMT
- Encapsulation Mode: PPP over ATM (PPPoA - RFC2364) or VC-MUX - NOT LLC-Based or PPPoE
- Authentication Mode: CHAP

If you have always used our recommended settings you should not have any problems re-connecting.

What happens next?
------------------
We will email you to let you know when the move is complete. There is a small chance that we will be unable to move your service; if this happens we will not contact you and your broadband will continue to work in exactly the same way as it does now.

Please check our dedicated supported page if you have any questions - http://www.plus.net/support/broadband/products/network_suppliers.shtml

Thank you for your continued custom.

Thanks astondb9.

So then no direct information regarding the opt out facility for LLU.
Even the link does not give information about an opt out.

Plusnet have not stuck to their word on this issue.

We were told and it was also agreed in conjunction with PUG that we would have two options to opt out, why has this not happened?
