From numerous comments on this forum, I think the new VMBU might have created a new measurement in addition to up and down - sideways bandwith! This can also happen when your router is off (according to some posts on this forum).

lol!

its because of problems like these i think we should be measured for down only.

keep the 10gb peak limit, but only for downstream! come on plusnet do something that will help ease the frustration many customers have with you at the moment.

Or rather make it an actual 15Gb peak limit (download as you say) for Premier 1 customers as advertised, rather than beginning to manage connections before the peak limit is reached (at 10Gb).

Or PN could be more up-front by saying that your Peak-Time Allowance is 10GB for P1 with Level 1 Restrictions applied at 10GB, Level 2 at 12.5GB and Level 3 which includes Blocked P2P, Usenet, etc and 512Kbps DL at 15GB.

It should also mention on the same page the SUP comming into force at 30 GB where all internet activities are restricted to 128Kbps.

One thing; If you are already on level 3 management and you want to re-continue P2P, Usenet or File transfer applications then, by their SUP wording, you would get 128Kbps back on these if you force your usage over the SUP.

All Internet activities will be available at speeds up to 128Kbps at all times.

Of course this does include off-peak as well!

Can anyone confirm that this, in fact, is what happens?

Cheers
