Question for Plus Net admin...? Port Forwarding

I have a seperate thread running @ http://tinyurl.com/y983te on Port Forwarding

If I am using Broadband Plus , during peak hours, does Plus Net have a program running to detect forwaded ports on my router and stop connections being made to it ?

Re: Question for Plus Net admin...? Port Forwarding

Not AFAIK. Details of ports blocked on Plus here:
http://www.plus.net/support/security/port_blocking.shtml

I suspect this could be something to do with the php test script. It might be reacting to the traffic management of p2p traffic during peak hours. I've had a quick look for a copy of that script to see what it does, but can't find it. Sad

If you can download a copy of the script, send it over and I'll have a look

Question for Plus Net admin...? Port Forwarding

Hi there.

The short answer to this one is no. We do not monitor forwarded ports on your router.

The only ports we block are at our end and are detailed here

last weekend - I have no idea what is causing it - I forward the port, then suddenly its reported as being 'does not appear to be open' when I run a check (see http://tinyurl.com/y983te) I am wondering if there is something wrong with my router ....
