Postmaster Alias Glued to Default Box

I deleted my mailboxes which caused the Postmaster alias to stick itself to my remaining default account. Now I want to have my default account blackholed but I can't unglue the Postmaster alias. Creating a new account whether named Postmaster (impossible) or not does not allow the alias to be moved.
Customer services say "Unfortunately there's no way of doing this at present, we are currently working on a solution for this problem."
I am really just posting this to help any others puzzled by the same problem.
(And, of course, ... unless you know better!)

The best thing to do in this situation is to create a redirect for postmaster.

This can be to another mailbox or an external address and means you can direct your postmaster emails to which ever mailbox you want.

Ah! Yes - I reread webwise's post more carefully!
http://www.webwise.plus.com/guides/postmaster.pdf

Now to see if my default address can be blackholed while it still has a postmaster alias!

Just need to raise a ticket and we can blackhole that for you.
