Are you using any anti-spam programs. MailWasher is one I (and a lot of other forum members) would recommend. It allows you to view messages before they're downloaded from the server. It also blacklists any items which look like spam.

Also, if these spam are all using the same subject line, you could setup Mail Rules in your email program, which you could use to delete any messages from the server which contain the subject line "x".

Finally, if all the spam are going to on mailbox (such as "sales@username.plus.com") you could just create that mailbox. That would stop the spam arriving in your main mailbox.

Hi.

I only use OutLook Express 6 and the PlusNet services virus and spam, i thought it filtered out junk at the high setting.

Some come with the [spam] in subject placed by plusnet mail, others are getting through. All go to my main account, i'd love to delete the mail account but i can't as there is so much i'd need to change.

I have had this in the past to boxes which i closed on here, but never to my main account, i have no idea how the spammers got the main account.

I will try the MailWasher program you have mentioned. Thanks Smiley

When you say "main account" do you mean "username@username.plus.com"? That's the "catch-all" address. Basically, if an email is sent to "blahblahblah@eurotrain4.plus.com" (which doesn't exist) it automatically ends up in "eurotrain4@eurotrain4.plus.com". So if the spammers are spamming sales@username.plus.com, etc (when they don't exist) they automatically end up in your main mailbox.

They come to my name at the account, it's the only box i use now. I've closed lots on the past. sales, support, webmaster, even my first initals are all set to divert mail to the bin.

I have set mail rules now, i hadn't tried that before, so all subject lines with [-SPAM-] and some words go to the deleted folder now. Let's see how it goes. Thanks Cheesy
