Poor usenet speeds after upgrade to bbyw option 2

Having just upgraded to bbyw option 2 i now find my download speeds on usenet to be about 10 times slower than before on bb payg. Needless to say i wish i could now change back. If this isnt just a fault just now i'll be looking to move elsewhere

Poor usenet speeds after upgrade to bbyw option 2

Hi,

Usenet traffic is a lower priority on BBYW than on PAYG, the expected speeds on each BBYW option is detailed here:

http://www.plus.net/support/broadband/products/broadband_your_way/experience/speed.shtml

Speeds during the free overnight hours should be pretty much full speed, but when the network is busier particularly 2pm to midnight we do rate limit the speeds.

If 22.8 KB/s is the same as 228kbps then i can accept this if not then there must be a problem somewhere. If it is the same then i would like to know if i can change back to payg as i'm not happy with this at all

The difference between kbps and KB/s is a factor of 8, i.e. a transfer rate of 1KB/s is equivalent to 8kbps.

As such 22.8KB/s is 182.4kbps which isn't too far off 228kbps.
