Plusnet newsgroups broken???

Tried posting to plusnet.service.customer-feedback.

Hmm

All my posts disappear.

Very few appearing from anyone.

Presumably the news server is broken yet again. Any chance of a fixHuh

Please post replies in the plusnet.service.customer-feedback newsgroup.

Why are the local NGs; ie the plusnet ones, so embarrassingly awful?Huh

Plusnet newsgroups broken???

Firstly apologies for posting from my home account.

I've had a ticket and a conversation with a customer regarding this,
obvioulsy it's pretty hard to judge the extent of the problem with it being
this late/early. I am posting to PlusNet and non-plusnet groups fine.

I have replied to the "Usenet posts going astray" thread on plusnet.service.customer-feedback timed my reply and it appeared in under 60 seconds. I posted through ptn-nntp-reader01.

There obviously is a problem here but I suspect it's just a syncing issue as we have just brought another spool server back online.

Anyway once again sorry i'm not logged into my staff account *slaps wrist* but please raise a ticket if this is still effecting you and I will raise a Problem.

Regards,

Richard Mason

Posting STILL disappearing

I tried posting again this morning to the plusnet customer feedback group.

First attempt annd the post appeared quickly, so did my reply to myself.

I then attempted to post the original message, I've been trying to post since yesterday, and it has NOT appeared, again!

Come on PlusNet - get this fixed Sad

Posts disappearing

My disappearing post has just turned up in the Plusnet group after a 15 min delay. Oddly posts to outside groups appear almost immediately. There may be a problem with the plusnet.* hierachy?

News group postings

Postings missing from uk.comp.homebuilt too.

I've just downloaded the headers using the Clara news server and there are posts timed at 10.30 this morning in there that aren't appearing on the Plusnet server

Plusnet newsgroups broken???

Our network team are currently investigating a potential problem resulting in delayed posts on the Usenet platform. We will post a formal announcement if necessary once we have further details.

Plusnet newsgroups broken???

I don't know if it is related or not, but is this the sort of problem that would account for the fact that out of the 30 or so newsgroups I subscribe to; all of which are busy ones both UK and overseas ones, the only one recieving any posts is plusnet.service.customer-feedback?

Plusnet newsgroups broken???

Hi Bob

Thanks for the reply they do seem to be coming alive again now, but if it is any help some of the groups were sci.astro.amateur, uk.sci.astronomy, comp.sys.mac.misc, comp.sys.mac.system, rec.games.chess.computer.

But as I said traffic is beginning to flow again so maybe just a temporary hic-cup not a major problem
