PlusNet junk mail filters

I have my PlusNet junk mail filter on the highest setting but I still get 2-3 times more junk getting through than caught by the filter. Is there a way of cranking the filter up another notch or two?

On the 2nd page of the forum, the thread http://portal.plus.net/central/forums/viewtopic.php?t=46428 shows people also getting more SPAM than is acceptable.

Given that the recent mail problems have been in part attributed to a huge bout of bank holiday spamming, its not really much of a surprise that more is getting passed through at the minute.
Incidentally, a couple of staffers here who use variously Tiscali, AOL, and NTL have also had similar problems with mail, and not stuff bound to or from PN domains.
Hopefully once the backlog is cleared the spam filters will pick up new rules etc and things should settle down a bit.

I have taken a forum members advice and installed the Cloudmark trial. So far, so good. I have recently gone back over to OE6 from Outlook2003, because Outlook has too much baggage with things I never use eg, diary, journals etc, etc. But Outlook did have reasonable spam filters - which OE6 obviously lacks. Point taken about PN's filtering, even so, when PN was running well, it still missed 50%+ spam.
