Phone line "compatibility issues"

I have two phone lines at home (actually three with two of them auto-switching on the same number). When I do an ADSL check on both my numbers I get this:

"However, there appears to a compatibility issue with your phone line. This could be caused by an existing broadband connection, ISDN, a DACS unit, TPON, a pending ADSL order or many other common issues. This will need to be resolved before ADSL can be supplied to your line."

Obviously, one of my lines already has an existing (2Mbps) broadband connection but the other line doesn't have any of the incompatibilities listed. What else could flag up this "incompatibility" alert?

Hi there,

I suspect it's something to do with the switching equipment. The ADSLchecker may see it as some kind of switchboard. TBH the only people who can calrify this for you would be BT.

Yep, the checker is picking up that your line already has ADSL. Because anyone can access the checker it has to be a bit vague.
