Peak time usage - what is going on?

I get an email from plusnet saying my peak time allowance has increased to 20gb and now I've just had another email from them saying if I reach 13gb they will restrict my service.

The 20Gb is where they hammer you.13 Gb cuts your speed for p2p but normal stuff carries on.Read the usage limits.Makes sense to me as I make sure I dont get near 10 let alone 13.Download through the night when less people want to surf and play games.

I've noticed my usage being extremely heavy, even though I haven't changed my ways. Could be a virus, or a family member clogging up my hard disks Sad

Check for a persistant p2p program. Many default to loading and connecting as soon as the machine boots, and then you could be uploading all the time the PC is on.

Well it turns out they're providing the peak time allowance on a pro rata basis, so it will be 20gb from the payment date.
Just didnt say that in the email...
