Peak Time Problems?

Plusnet your current service is shocking. I haven't had a decent speed at 'peak-time' this week, yet after this time my top speed comes back...

Coiincidence? I don't think so. Others have been reporting bad gaming pings and speeds suring this time so it must be a network issue or, in my case as I have been LLU'd, an issue with Tiscali's management.

A month ago I created a ticket reporting unstable speeds and gaming pings and PN changed the profiling on my line. Due to this I went down to a 2mbps top speed but the stability was better and so for a while I was happy again. But now I'm getting the above results at peak-times and gaming is impossible once more (and something I use 70% of my connection for!).

If your or Tiscali's network cannot handle the amount of users at 'peak-time' then you should be doing soemthing about it now! I will not be putting up with thsi sub-stanard service much longer, I was ready to leave before you made the change to my line but stuck around because you
seemed to fix this issue...

Ticket 19990696 if anyone cares... :x

Plusnet CSC please can you respond to ticket 19990696. It has been 4 days since I left my last response.

The latest change you/Tiscali made to my line on 11/09/06 has made things more unstable than ever. I have a higher target speed again but am still receiving less than 1mb speeds at most times and pings are so high and variable it is impossible to play games online.

I am now requesting that I be transferred back to the BT IPstream connection I had before (to be done at your cost). I am tired of the problems I am having with the LLU service you changed me to and am not waiting any longer for things to be sorted out. It seems it is too unstable for my line or Tiscali have over-subscribed the service in my area which is why the problems mainly happen at peak-times (when everyone is probably using their connection).

I also qualify for transfer back to BT Wholesale as I received my LLU notification on the 5th May - before the opt-out was added to the LLU FAQ and I never received a second notification with opt-out option.

Please address this issue today. Thank you.

Thank you Mand. Smiley

Peak Time Problems?

AFAIK, There is no specific section within the "Help & Support" section that covers the request to move back to IPStream. Just add the request to your current ticket. That's what I did.

Peak Time Problems?

I would do but in her last reponse Mand said it was better to raise a specific ticket for this

In that case, choose any section in "Help & Support" and follow it to the end of its path, when the "Help Assistant" popup window is displayed, close it. In the window underneath will/should be an option to "Ask a Question".

Peak Time Problems?

Hi there,

Just raise any ticket, and in the 'your comments' bit advise which transfer option you prefer, you can cross reference to the other open ticket if you wish as it may save some time and ticket tennis. Smiley
