So let me get this strait.

According to the email I received my contention will be dropped to 50:1
but I can continue merrily paying £16.99 my 3Mb PAYG.

But for £14.99 I can have the same product but with unlimited use.

So what's the point of having PAYG? And will I be charged to change to Broadband Plus?

Regards, Confused.

You would not be charged for moving to Broadband Plus.

The Broadband Plus utilises traffic management, and is not suitable for those that wish to use P2P applications. It doesn't stop there use, but restricts the activities, such that higher priority traffic gets the priority (web pages, emails and such).

PAYG allow P2P use, at line speed without management.

Thanks for the answer, Philip (from another Philip)

As I rarely use P2P I shall change this instant.

If they try to charge me I shall send the bill to you Smiley

PAYG

Don't do it immediately or you will be charged.
First reduce your included allowance to 1GB which will take the cost down to £14:99 which is the same as BB+. You can then change for no cost

Another difference between PAYG and Broadband Plus is the webspace - probably won't affect you, still more than most ISPs offer and plenty for most people, but on Plus it's 100 MB instead of 250 MB.

Also you will not have any access to the cgi or MySQL server, just in case you use this facility.
