Be careful though, although the SUP says 30/100 gb of useage, if you go over 15 gb using usenet it appears they cripple your usenet connection.

New to Usenet, help!

We have recently made some changes to usenet which has dramatically improved it's performance, with people being able to download at full speed even at peak times.

We can't however support this level of usage all month so we have introduced a limit of 15GB after which usenet is slowed down.

Ben,

Thanks for the clarification. Can you give an idea of what kinds of speed to expect when you say "slowed down" ?

1 to 5b/sec. Yes, that was 1 to 5! I'm lucky to exceed 2kb/sec at the moment!

Funny how I find no reference in my terms and conditions allowing them to decimate a particular protocol by 10,000%. Must consult with the Citizen's Advice Bureux - first, a cap of 100Gb on normal services, and now a cap of 15Gb on Usenet.
