Quick heads up that we've just published this quarter's Red-Amber-Green document to the service status pages.
For those who didn't catch the last one the Red-Amber-Green is an internal document, used by our network team to plan and track the overall status of all the network services we operate. The document takes the form of a PDF file and is fairly detailed, a copy can be found linked from the service status pages here.
The current RAG document highlights a number of priority areas which many of our customers will already be aware of. Email and the management of our broadband platform remain as focal points and we have significant improvements planned in these areas as we move into the new year.
In addition to the recent mail storage upgrade which took place mid January, we are also in the process of upgrading the code base across our platfrom to PHP5. This has already been completed across most of our primary servers and is set to continue over the coming months.
Some customers will already have seen the network performance graphing we have recently added to our website. We will continue improving the visibility of our network and are already discussing publishing live network monitoring tools to our customer facing portal pages.
Another exciting prospect for the first quarter of 2007 is the rebuild and redesign of the Parbin hosting brands we inherited following the acquisition of Metronet. Not only will this bring resiliency and reliability to the existing platform, it will also offer PlusNet customers the opportunity to take advantage of new products and services, like the up and coming Personal Firewall.
Keep your eyes peeled for a more detailed overview of the mail platform that we're currently planning on publishing tomorrow too.
