MySQL - getting data into a table!

MySQL - getting data into a table!

Here's an easy one for you (but apparently not for me!)

I've created a table under the phpWebadmin section and would like to populate the table which is a very simple 8 column table (and will have about 35 rows). I tried using the "import" of a text file function but it either complained about the field delimiters, the end of line delimiter or neither, instead putting the lot into the first field. I've tried different delimiters with the fields enclosed (or not) in "" but to no avail.

Can somebody explain in simple terms how I am to lay out my data so this form will take it in? I know it's straightforward but I spent a huge amount of time last night getting nowhere!

Thanks

I going to have a wild stab in the dark as I've never used the MySQL side of the package, have you tried "Comma" delimited (CSV)?

i.e.

Field1,Field2,Field3,Field4,Field5,Field6,Field7,Field8<CR>
Field1,Field2,Field3,Field4,Field5,Field6,Field7,Field8<CR>

Well it didn't work last night Shockedops: I wonder if the difference was doing this in windows not under linux (long shot).

Thanks for pointing me back to basics there. Finally there's some progress!
