My BT Profile needs a kick up the behind...

to get it moved back up

my last speedtest, with what I would call a good ping, in think..

I was gettimng beautiful +4200 speeds up until 2 days ago and now my BT profile has been dropped to 4000 so hence my speeds won't go any higher, I think it needs a boost from BTW...

on the @plusdsl2.net connection..

Hmm. Doesn't look like a bRAS reset. However, I've changed your profile at our end from 4500-5000Kbps. Try rebooting and see if it makes any difference.

Yeah, you should be getting a bit of a bump up in speed if you maintain those sync rates for the next 3 days. I'd suggest keeping an eye on it, and giving me a poke on Monday if nothing has happened and the sync rate remains static.

 I've found the London speedtest.net server sometimes gives poor results - try the Amsterdam server.

It's bRAS/IP Profile related John. Nothing to do with the speedtest.net servers.

Last update came in at 3424kbps this morning, a disconnect/reconnect should cause it to take effect.

Yeah thanks Dave. Bizarrely my PN profile is now 3500 and my BT profile is at its highest ever at 3000 (previous high was 2500). I'm about as confused as my line is Smiley

Probably best not to worry about it, 3424kbps represents an IP profile of 3000kbps and thus an ATM profile of 3500kbps which is what the portal figure shows.

Your sync speed is fluctuating quite a bit, yesterday showing as 5440kbps at one point. For the IP profile to go up to 4.5Mbps the sync speed needs to stay over 5120kbps for at least 3-5 days. To go up to 5Mbps it needs to stay over 5696kbps for at least 3-5 days (so that count would have reset yesterday when it sync'd at 5440kbps).
