Moving House...

I was looking at information on how to move my PlusNet Premier service to another house last week, but now I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Could someone point me in the right direction please?

Also, I will be keeping the same number, so when is the best time to inform PlusNet of the move so as to keep the number of days without internet access to a minimum?

Moving House...

At the moment you have to raise a ticket to support in order to carry out a house move, so that the order can be handled manually.

If you are keeping the same number, you're going to have at least ten working days of downtime, whilst the line is reprovided at the new location. So the best time to do it is seven working days before you are due to move, so that the connection in the old location can be turned off on the day of your move.

There is a dedicated path for this in the ticket system. I reckon thats how you should proceed.

Yes but that seems to be the problem. I can't find this dedicated path.

If I click on New Query, I'm given a list of options. One of them is:

Account Changes - Upgrade, Downgrade, Cancellations & Moving House

I click on that, but then only the following links are shown:

• Cancel/Migrate my account
• Change my bandwidth allowance (Broadband PAYG customers)
• PlusNet Guarantee
• Upgrade my account
• Downgrade my account
• Migrate my ADSL from another ISP
• Move my SDSL (e.g. moving to new premises)
• Changing your SDSL speed

None of these relate to moving my ADSL service to a different house.

If the link you mentioned above was provided in a ticket, then that would be an option for you.

Actually that's a link I found a couple of weeks ago somewhere in the Member pages. Now all references to moving house seem to have been removed.

How long does it usually cancel a contract... I'm on the monthly contract and how would I go about if I want to cancel PN if I move my house i.e. how much notice must I give to PN for cancellation? Smiley

You don't really "cancel" your PlusNet account - the whole idea of moving your ADSL through PlusNet is to keep all your details and continue your minimum contract.

However, with monthly contract you can cancel at anytime if you wish.
