May I respectfully advise you to ask for you MAC and give +net their 30 days notice, the day before your monthly payment is made / taken.

Then they will take that payment, but no more.

If you make it just after your monthly payment is made, + net will take another FULL PAYMENT before you go.

What homeaga1n fails to note is that even if PlusNet do take another full payment, you can request a refund for the time that remains unused after the 30 days.

You wont be out of pocket, although it does involve raising another ticket after leaving.

Phillip have you seen homeaga1n's thread, it seems this is no longer the case.

Have you got a link to it?

I did a quick search but I found 3 pages of the same thing.

Yip Phillip.

Chris is raising this through the UG. There seems to be a change of policy or misunderstanding somewhere along the line.

If the switched on MODS didn't know about this.

How can us basic punters be expected to understand whats going on ?

It appears I have mis-interpreted something. That will teach me to skim read.

Homeaga1n

The mods are not here to convey accurate information, this is PlusNet job. Moderating and helping others are two separate things.

Equally, as a long term member of the forums, you should also be switched on to the forum rules, but as with many others, you appear not to be.

My understanding (up until today) was the same as your and other knowledgable forum contributors.

I was sure B.B was wrong.

Maybe he is ........ Maybe he isn't ?

Perhaps you would consider a sticky, highlighting this change / misunderstanding.

Just to save further complaints in the future.

To sum the policy up, which I know has been in-force for a long time (before MAC based migrations started).

When you submit 30 days notice, you serve out your contract as per normal, making your monthly payments as normal.

Once the 30 days are up, your monthly rolling contract will no longer renew, although an outstanding payed service will continue until the end of the payed period.
