Massive Sync Problems

Hi support,

Hoping someone could help me out here. For the last few weeks i've had nothing but constant disconnections and loss of sync. I've changed every filter in the house with brand new ones which had no affect.

I've just checked my router stats and it seems like interleaving is switched on and displaying errors. Sad

You're not in the Holmfirth area by any chance, because I've got very similar sysmptoms.

Massive Sync Problems

Hi,

I had a similar problem a while ago, my connection used to be very good then suddenly started getting dropped, interleaving put on, etc... Cry

It turned out to be that my router had become faulty. :?

Since I replaced my router I have had a rock steady connection again at 8128/448.

Have you got access to another router or modem to try ?

Not to hand :-(

I had a problem a couple of years ago with another Netgear router. That was a DG814. The BT Engineer came out and blamed my router at the time. I am still using that router to-date on my ADSL line at work... faultlessly.

I also have a NETGEAR DG834G v1 router on the latest firmware and get similar loss of sync issues - I always have done from what I can remember for 3 yrs.

I just put it down to my line quality - or possiblly my internal wiring or the ring wire which I intend to disconnect and try some day. Tongue

Some days are worse than others - particularly when it is wet!!!!!! I have had 22 loss of syncs since rebooting last Friday night (15th) as my sync speed had reduced down to 384kbps (normally around 3500kbps)

I also get stacks of "LCP Down" errors in the log file

So I would be interested if you manage to resolve your issue.

By the way, where have you got the interleaving info from? - I have never seen anything like that in my Router Status page.

The info comes from the telnet interface.

Get routerstats from here, it will tell you the extra info as well as record all sync losses and show SNR/line attenuation changes.
