Manipulating statistics at plusnet by closing faults

Look at plusnet statistics at http://www.plus.net/supportpages.html?a=212 and you will find some excellent connection faults statistics:

Average closure time: 6 days, 18 hours, 1 minute and 3 seconds
Target closure time: 7 working days

My broadband connection has not been working for 3 months. Many more customers have long-standing faults, as highlighted in the forums. plusnet don't resolve the faults efficiently. However, they close the faults without solving them to keep their stats good!

I'm sure just about everyone on the forums is aware of your ongoing fault by now.

With regards to the stats, the point is it's an average, some tickets are simple questions like "What's my email address" or What's the ftp server". At least PlusNet publish stats, yes they might not always be what you want, but it's better than nothing.

I do feel for you, but I really don't see how closing a few isolated ticket erronomously is going to make a blind bit of difference to the stats being reported.
