Linux on PlusNet Bit oh Help?

Best thing I can suggest is do a search on the forums and also on Google for some help.

One thing I can confirm is it should be PPPoA.

Linux on PlusNet Bit oh Help?

Trying to get a USB based modem working under linux, can be a challenge.

I would suggest getting an ADSL router or Ethernet based modem.

I use the Speedtouch 330 USB (the silver one) under FreeBSD thanks to http://speedtouch.sourceforge.net/

Hope that helps!

Depends what distro you're using how best to do it! Breezy Badger Ubuntu should be ready to go-- earlier versions probably need libatm1 installing. Personally, I don't like USB router/modems

Also works fine for me in OpenBSD. In fact I have been using this setup for around four years, originally with the green Alcatel USB and more recently with the Speedtouch 330.
