Line sync for MaxDsl question

Ok, so I got upped to DslMax last tuesday.
My attainable line rate was about 4.5Mbps and I synched at 4 Meg.
Knowing the extension cable from the phone line to the router was introducing a lot of noise I've since (yesterday) moved the router beside the Master socket to do away with the noisy cable and I'm now synching at 8 Meg.
I also think that the line stabilisation takes about 10 days after the upgrade?
So since I'm now synching at 8 Meg I should hopefully be seeing speeds of 6 - 6.5 Mbps in a few days and I've not been limited by those first few days of synching at a lower speed?
Does that make sense to you?

Yup, disconnect the router overnight or just power cycle it once a day, and you should see a change.

If your on LLU, then you should see the change immediately.

Yep, the system will have set the throughput speed based onthe 4Mbps sync rate, but it will automatically increase it after being sync'd at 8Mbps for 3-5 days (note it doesn't need to be connected solidly for 3-5 days, just when it is connected doesn't decrease in sync speed).
