Someone go here http://www.macromedia.com/downloads/ and try and download the shockwave player?

At the minute I'm getting no more than 3kb/sec which is playing around intermittently.

Ho hum.

Downloads flat out for my connection (1Mb) 120kB/s minimum at the end (started a lot higher but it is such a small file at 2.8MB that it didn't have time to settle down)
But I am on PAYG

Tried it several times and the page takes an age to open then tried downloading both players three times each

Got 2.2KB/sec 3.4KB/sec and then 7.3KB/sec and it stopped completely after just a few seconds everytime / 2meg prem

I cleared the cache in between each try so there is a problem somewhere maybe with there servers ill do a traceroute in a minute

Anyone else?Huh

I get roughly 10kb/s on sites ( apart from macromedia above which was 2.3 and 8.2 ).

Mind you my problem is because my line is knackered and BT need to have a look at it within the next 3 days.

Are you sure macromedia havent caught what my line has got ?

Glad it isn't just me. Though guess what? Trying it now, it averages at 266 k/sec.

Not bad really, I've been signed up 10 days and I'm ready to request my move code.

*Shrugs*

macromedia seems to have had an isue all weekend Took 1 hour to get flash player with loads of dropouts on Saturday and on a seperate machine over 2 hours on Sunday afternoon Ended up both days resorting to dialup which was just as bad .Figured it was their end as all other sites/downloads attempted were fine .MSN being its usual pain in the rear though .Keeps refusing 1 of our laptops entry also had relatives in Australia dropping out regularly while talking to them .Maybe an isue with American links Huh?As tracert that one shows hops through Seatle with high results or time outs

I can remember something being advertised along those lines Wink lol

Ah well these things happen. Hey were using a BT network so im surprised it doesnt happen a whole lot more often.
Anyway the issue is being looked at and has been referred to BT. Need to sit and wai to see what they say now.
