Can anyone tell me why my received e-mails are being delivered approx 6-10 hors later than when they were sent?Huh

Hi guys,

We have a problem raised on this at present, and a Service Status was issued yesterday.

A new SS post will be made this afternoon, however the queues are reducing and mail should start to come through quicker, particularly new mail.

In our experience, as the day unfolds it's getting slower.

A external test mail sent this morning at 8.17 was received on PlusNet mail at 8.30. One just sent from the same source at 11.59 has yet to be received.

Edit: has now arrived @ 13.01

Have raised ticket regarding this.

Sent a test mail from our work account to my plus.net account.

Left work at :- Wed, 1 Nov 2006 13:37:37 +0000 (GMT)
Arrived at Plusnet at about 1.45. However i think the mail servers are a bit wonky.. as they seem to think its...

"Delivery-date: Wed, 01 Nov 2006 14:04:46 +0000"

and its only 1.50 NOW!

Late deliverys

I checked teh SS message and see that there has been a dramatic increase in mail volume over previous day leading to longer queues.

Looking at my default mailbox I find over double the normal (for the past few weeks) number of 'Joe Job' failure messages.

Is the mail problem SPAM related?
