Internet in 'meltdown' (Next Week)

I have just read an artical in The Sun and I was wondering whether +net uses KPN Qwest’s network.

The artical can be found here:-

Could anyone confirm this effect on the net.

Thanks
Steve

Try this for a more un sensationalist view, and it may be wise to take anything the Sun says, with a pinch of salt. Maybe read a newspaper rather than a comic.

RE: Internet in 'meltdown' (Next Week)

Good Morning,

It is possible that it may affect access to some sites, but we won't be directly affected as our own backbone providers are Level 3 and Sprint. We also peer through LINX with many UK and European networks.

Most service providers who use them are currently looking elsewhere for their provision.
Unless KPNQwest get the money owed to them by close of business on Monday the 10th then the network will be switched off.

Kind Regards,
Russell.
