Interesting mail delivery failure message

I was particularly amused by an email sent from Plusnet's email system this afternoon returning an email that Plusnet couldn't deliver.

The original email was sent from my router using my Plusnet email address to myself at my Plusnet email address. (One of several sent every day for over a year.) Subsequent ones have appeared OK.

Perhaps someone can explain how the message could be sent back to the same mailbox that it was on its way to!!!Huh It couldn't be delivered to my mailbox, but could be returned to the same mailbox!!!
