IP address

Having connected, how does one discover what the IP address is that has been asigned to your computer.

Hi,

In Windows 95/98/ME goto Start > Run > type the following -
winipcfg
press enter. Ensure you choose PPP adaptor.

For win2k/XP open a Dos window and type

IPCONFIG

Note it has too be from a Dos window, not from Startbar|Run or the info won't stay

Thanks for that. I am using W2K but it does not recognise IPCONFIG also I cannot find IPCONFIG.EXE

I wonder if it is an installation option?
