IMAP - Storage limits - QOS

I see it's possible to access the mailboxes using IMAP.

What are the storage limits and what happens when you go over these?

Has anyone used the IMAP option with Outlook 2002? I hear it can be a bit flakey - is this true?

Information relating to this can be found on the portal at the following location:

http://portal.plus.net/info2/legal/legal_stuff-aup-useofemail.html

The short answer is that If you exceed a total of 25Mb of unread email for more than a 30 day period it will be deleted.

Having said this, please note that we will never delete any email without contacting you first.

This is not something I have heard of personally. Best bet would be to try it and see how you go.

Mark.

RE: IMAP - Storage limits - QOS

Good Morning,

To enable us to back up all mail waiting for delivery by pop3 or imap we would need an inconcievable amount of hard ***** space.

So in answer to your question no we don't currently back up IMAP mail.

Kind Regards,
Russell.
