Huh?? What The....??? Plusnet?

Last month I had an included 12gb peak usage allowance, I used approx 7.8gb of that. Yesterday I chnaged my data transfer to 4 gig included ( so I'd get my new month at 4 gig allowance .. which it has done no problems today )

I just went to check my email... and I got these... ( posted here in the order I received them )

Dear ****************,

Please be aware you have exceeded your included monthly data transfer of
8GB - there is no need to worry.

An extra 2GB of data transfer has been automatically added to your account
for this month at a charge of £1.80.

If you use up this extra 2GB before the end of the month, another 2GB will
be added at the same cost of £1.80. And so on, until the end of the month.

If 8GB is unrealistic for your monthly usage, please consider increasing
your included monthly data transfer.

The last three show the same time of sending.... each says an extra 1.80gbp has been added to my monthly internet cost.... with 2gb extra per post..

PLEASE tell me whats happened and HAVE I BEEN CHARGED? and does this now mean I have been restricted in any way Huh

How can I have gone over my allowance of 4GB this month when billing was only this morning and I've not used ANY peak time allowance on my account yet! ( this post is being done from my neighbours house on his laptop using his talk talk ISP account ) ( go check my account Cheesy )

Huh??

Obviously something automatically generated has sent the warning emails, but what am I to do ? and will I be fully refunded should the extra in total 6gb cost actually have been charged forHuh?

Oh i dont know.... heh heh heh...please get back to me as soon as you can, Many Thanks.

Huh?? What The....??? Plusnet?

How odd, however it's not something to worry about. Your account isn't currently restricted and you haven't been charged any extra.
IIRC this is due to the slight timing difference between the billing being taken and the usage being reset.

As Chris says you will not be charged for this, it's just a conflict between 2 internal systems.

The problem only arises when you downgrade to an option with less allowance, but use your full allowance in the previous month (as one of the systems still thinks it is the previous month).

This should all be resolved later today, and your VMBU page should look nice and empty again by this evening.

If it's not feel free to give me a nudge and I'll get it sorted for you.
