Hmmmm! Has something changed?

Just curious...... it is 1958hrs and I am downloadeing a multipart binary from the Plusnet newserver at 100+ KB/s unheard of for the last few days. Not complaining just wondering what if anything has changed.

Stange here too (not p2p or newsgroups, just http), a few days before my migration out and I am suddenly downloading at full speed (full speed) on http. Very strange (after six months of PlusNet saying it was BT and my line).

Hmmmm! Has something changed?

With the number's who have been put on the SUP restrictions or heavy users who have migrated out wouldn't you expect things to be improving for the rest of us?

Text newsgroups are back up to speed as well. An hour ago it was taking 5-10sec to download a single message, now it is instant.

Just to confirm something here, I am not a heavy user (not at 10Kb/s). Maybe I would have been, but Im not.

Hi chrishargreaves,

I don't think it was being suggested that you are a heavy user.

More that if people are being placed onto the SUP profile, that more capacity is being transfered back to the users.

Kind Regards,

I somehow dont think that the SUPs and migrations made my connection go from 10Kb/s to 100Kb/s (http) overnight.

Thanks for your input though

Yes I am also migrating - and lo and behold as soon as I have raised a ticket to migrate my speeds are back to the old rates over night.

Well too late methinks.
