FUP Question?

Price Fair usage thresholds
---------------------------------
£18.99 22GB per month peak time, potential inc off peak usage of 222GB*
£21.99 30GB per month peak time, potential inc off-peak usage of 230GB*
£29.99 50GB per month peak time, potential inc off-peak usage of 250GB*
£39.99 75GB per month peak time, potential inc off-peak usage of 275GB*

* Off-peak is between 1am and 8am. The potential off-peak usage is based on a 2Mb broadband connection

I thought everything between 1-8am wasent counted in the FUP ?

Any on peak was something like 9-5 and off was 5-1am

Hi there.

Peak is between 8am and 1am. Outside of this time is classed as off-peak.

Fair Useage

The 230GB is allocated as fair useage outside of the 0800 - 0100hrs 'peak' window. There has to be a 'fair useage' for a 24hr period but obviously most people are tucked up in bed after 1am thus allowing the bandwidth to be used by fewer people. Smiley

Hi,
Its not 230 gig offpeak, its 230gig total for the month. 230gig equates to the new 30gig capped £21.99pm account. Notice it says potential INCLUDING off peak usage.

If you look at the fair usage guide

you can see that the unlimited period between 1am and 8am is seven hrs. Now this is based on a 2meg connection, so if you do the math over a full year this equates to roughly 200gig a month, its a little over in reality, but you can see the point of setting a nice round whole figure for ease of reference. If you notice all bandwidth on all the accounts is this 200 plus whatever the bandwidth cap for the product.

Hope I got that right lol Smiley

OK

Yes, see that now - bit of a sales ploy by PN to say uncluding Peak when it would be far clearer to say 30GB peak AND 200GB off peak!

Anyhow, my second point is why the £18.99 always gets shown so much when I understand that most would be paying £21.99 Premier?
