FTP working?

Tried FTP downloads since yesterday from the PN webspace and files just queue.

I understand that speeds have been increased but as I am unable to download I can't say they have as the upload speed is around 64KB/s still.

Hmm strange, I've just tested and can download normally using FileZilla.
Have you tested another client and ensured your firewall is not blocking the incoming connection?

Thanks for the reply Chris all working now. Cheesy

On a side note, Mandy stated that speeds were now 448KBps from 64KBps but don't know which way this is as the server message upon FTP connection states only 64KBps still?

We probably haven't updated the message yet, I'll pass the message on internally.

I did try a download and get 64KBps still so are uploads at the new rate as only getting 48KBps upload?

I've asked for confirmation on this as it was due to roll last week but I was off for a few days so might have missed it.

That is probably all you will get from a 448kbps connection once you take overheads off.
Mand did confirm that the restriction was removed (it used to be 256kbps)

It'll be 448kbps rather than 448KB/s per thread. So the max you'll see on upload on a Max connection is about 50KB/s because of the ATM overhead. Max Premium customers (e.g. Business Premier) and some LLU customers should see a bit more if their lines are sync'd higher than 448kbps.
