FTP totally unusable

I am getting really frustrated at how FTP has been getting slower and slower. Now it has stopped ...well almost.

Contstant timeouts or it takes over a minute to transfer a 2Kb file.

I am a Web developer and FTP access is critical.

I assume port 21 is being throttled back as part of the bandwidth management but this is ridiculous. Does it have to be so aggressive. Surely port 21 is not in the same league as File Sharing ports when it comes to bandwidth hogging?

FTP totally unusable

There is a problem with FTP. I've had a ticket open for weeks. Plus.net recognise there is a problem and are working on it. Not much movement though

FTP totally unusable

Same problem I'm having, normal FTP is completely unusable.

I have been forced to install net2ftp on a remote server then upload files as carefully crafted tar.gz files and uncompress on the host.

It works but it shouldn't be necessary.

For info, I've got a premier account.
